Today we welcomed another homeschooling family to the HQ. 7 and 5 year old brothers who fit right in with our constructive play. And as a bonus Jonah came for the late morning/afternoon. It was wonderful to have him and I look forward to him being a part of our adventure going forward. The last 3 days have been filled with new pieces of our homeschooling pie and it has been somewhat difficult to structure our week with all that we have going on. Amy suggested beginning each week by sitting down with the group and going over our objectives. What needs to get done? When will we fit in our academic workshops? When will we have open play. We do we eat? These are all things that need to happen, yet have been difficult to fit in. I like the idea and we will begin it on this coming Monday.
